Training: Meg completed the Radiant Child Certification and the Finding Inner Peace Children’s Yoga Certification in 2008. In 2011, she completed the Brain Gym 170 course, about brain and movement integration for children with special needs, and Craig Hanauer’s Every Kid’s Yoga: Teaching Yoga to Children with Special Needs. Meg has also trained with YogaKids’ Marsha Wenig and participated in YogaEd trainings. In 2014, Meg received a certificate in Yoga for the Special Child and became certified as a ChildLight Baby & Toddler instructor. In 2015, Meg attended ChildLight Tween and Teen Training. In 2016 Meg attended the Social Emotional Learning for Massachusetts Alliance conference and the Mindfulness in Higher Education Conference at Middlesex School. In 2017, she attended the ChildLight Yoga for Babies and Toddlers, ChildLight Advanced Concepts Training, and the Mindfulness in Education Network (MiEN) Conference. In 2019, Meg attended the ChildLight Trauma Informed Training. In 2020, Meg continued her education by attending ChildLight’s Children with Diverse Ability training and Yoga for Youth Athletes. In 2023 she took an Emotional Freedom Technique Training (EFT) from Ann Biese at ChildLight Education Company.

From 2014 - 2024 Meg, travelled nationally teaching adults how to be children’s yoga instructors through ChildLight’s Yoga and Mindfulness for Children (eighteen-hour) training, ChildLight Yoga and Mindfulness in Schools (eighteen-hour) training, and ChildLight Yoga and Mindfulness for Children: Advanced Concept (eighteen-hour) training. She also wrote the training material for CEC Yoga and Mindfulness in Schools and led 74 workshops (over 1000 hours).
Past Yoga 4 Classrooms, LLC Trainer: She taught educators the Yoga 4 Classroom and the IMPLEMENT leader training, which includes a curriculum for Kindergarten through eighth-grade teachers to learn how to integrating yoga and mindfulness into their schools for self-regulation, learning readiness, and classroom climate from 2012 - 2020. Meg taught The Yoga 4 Classrooms 6 hour curriculum 52 times. Meg also wrote curriculum for Yoga 4 Classrooms. She taught the 17 hour IMPLEMENT leader training10 times. Furthermore, Meg offered a 10-week residency program in elementary classrooms to help teachers integrate into the curriculum what they’ve learned.

Training: In 2009, she completed a 200-hour adult yoga training program with Daniel Orlansky, recognized by the Yoga Alliance, at Yoga of Energy Flow. In 2013, Meg attended Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) in Mind-Body Medicine Professional Training 7 day program at the Omega Institute taught by Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli. In 2018 she attended a five-day Swakriya Yoga workshop taught by Gurusharananda about integrating the 5 elements into mindfulness through breath, movement and meditation. In January 2021, Meg completed an additional 300-hour adult teacher training with Jacqui Bonwell at Sacred Seeds. In September 2024, she became a certified yoga therapist learning from Brandt Passalacqua at Breathing Deeply.

Conference Presentations:
In 2017 Meg presented at the National Kids Yoga Conference in Washington DC about “Proven Strategies for Gaining Support for Yoga in Schools.” and a workshop at the New Hampshire Library Association (NHLA) conference about “How to Bring Yoga into Story Hour and Other Youth Programming.” In 2017 & 2018 she presented yoga and mindfulness movement breaks for 250 participants at the New Hampshire School Counselors Conference (NHSCA). In 2018 she also assisted Lisa Flynn in presenting Mindful Movement Breaks at the Mindfulness in Society Conference in Concord, NH. In 2019, Meg presented at the National Education Association-New Hampshire Conference (NEA-NH) in Bow, NH and taught yoga class for school counselors at the American School Counselor’s Association (ASCA) conference in Boston, MA. In April 2020 she presented at the National Kids Yoga Conference (NKYC) about “Kids Yoga and Literacy”. In May 2021 Meg presented for the 3rd time at the NKYC on the topic “Creating the Feeling of Belongingness”. In 2022, Meg presented again at the NEA-NH Conference in Bow, NH, teaching about compassion fatigue and mindful crafts for the classroom.
Education:
She has a B.A. in American Studies from Middlebury College and a M.S. in Library & Information Studies from Simmons College and is a Certified Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. In 2013, Meg took additional college courses to help her better serve her students - Child Development, Abnormal Psychology, and Anatomy & Physiology I & II.
